Barry Steele Jackson

Barry Steele Jackson, 77, widower of Marilyn Hunter Jackson, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Berea Health & Rehabilitation in Berea, Kentucky. Barry was a retired employee of Sylvania in Versailles, Kentucky. He was born on May 7, 1947, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late William R. Jackson and Katherine Ann McDowell Jackson. He is survived by two children, William Lee Jackson and Sharon Jackson Mitchell; a brother, William R. Jackson, Jr.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, his parents, William and Katherine, and a grandson, Houston Steele Adams. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Ed Schwarz officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Barry will be laid to rest in the Wilmore Cemetery.
