Barbara Jean Wells Dixon

Barbara Jean Wells Dixon, age 82, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Charles W. Dixon; a daughter, Sheri Lynn Dixon; her father, Harold G. Wells; her mother, Marietta Pendleton Wells; and brother, Gilbert “Ray” Wells. Barbara was born on June 3, 1941, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Dixon French, and her husband, Keith; brothers James “Jimmy” Wells and his wife Ruthie; Kenneth Wells and his wife Gail; and David Wells and his wife, Pat. Additional survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Bro Jay Webb officiating. The burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, with family and friends serving as bearers. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
