Barbara Jean Arrowood Cheek

Barbara Jean Arrowood Cheek, 64, widow of Denver Arlin Cheek, died Sunday, September 14, 2014 after a long illness. She was the daughter of Mattie Mae Merriman Gibson and the late Roger Elijah Arrowood. She was an employee of Asbury Seminary, member of the Springdale Baptist Church and loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her children, Denny Cheek, Teresa (Ricky) Gilliam, Rodney (Shell) Cheek and Paula (Tommy) Hampton, grandchildren, Tiffany Cheek, Dishon Gilliam, Lori Cheek, Amy Gilliam, Robyn, David and Gracie Cheek and Charles Denver 'CD' Cheek, great grandchildren, Weston Cheek, Dalton Becknell, Hailey and Levi Riddell and Cameron Baldridge, sisters, Brenda (Ernie) Napier, Carolyn (Ralph) Witt, Betty (Ernie) Lunsford, Sandy (James) Sloan, Debbie Gibson, Billy (Kim) Gibson and Dale Arrowood. Services will be 1:00pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Gayheart officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Tuesday. Bearers will be Rodney Cheek, Denny Cheek, Tommy Hampton, Ricky Gilliam, David Cheek and Dishon Gillian. Honorary Bearers will be Nathan Gibson, Jon Becknell, Ethan Stewart and Ryan Baldridge.
