Alvin Hager

Alvin Hager, 80, husband of Frances Gill Hager, died December 15, 2008. He was born March 12, 1928 in Jessamine County to the late John and Mary Agnes Peel Hager. Alvin was a Nicholasville city employee having worked in the street and parks department. Additional survivors are a daughter, Helen (John) Hopkins, four sons, Allen (Donna) Hager, Ronnie (Carolyn) Hager, Charley (Marcia) Hager, two sisters, Helen Graham, all of Nicholasville, Mary Evans of Danville and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Hager and several brothers and sisters. Services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Baker and Rev. Jack Saylor officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
