Allen 'Q' Ray Carter, 80, widower of Brenda Louise Perry Carter, passed Wednesday, December 30, 2015. He was born in Jessamine County on May 10, 1935 to the late Wyatt and Alice Hager Carter. Q was a member of Elm Fork Christian Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Family survivors are two sons, David (Tracy) Carter and Daren Carter, a granddaughter, Ashley Carter, a sister, Mary Margaret Peel and other family members. Service will be 1:00 PM Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Dr. John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Bearers will be Jimmy Peel, Mike Peel, Shane Peel, Jacob Taylor, Bobby Watts and Neal Hurt.
