Alice Louise Dailey

Nicholasville-Alice Louise Eldridge Dailey, 84, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went home to be with the Lord, October 15, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late William and Hattie Mae Eldridge. She retired from General Electric in 1987 after 30 years of employment. She was an active member of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church and a volunteer at Central Baptist Hospital for 23 years. She is survived by her children, Mary -Susie- (John) Locknane and William R. Dailey, a daughter in law, June Dailey, brothers and sisters, Aggie (Charles) Coyle, Rae (Paul) Cundiff, Donald (Joyce) Eldridge, Jimmy (Sandra) Eldridge, Nancy (Tom) Howell, a sister in law, Linda Eldridge, grandchildren, Elmer Glenmore Dailey III, Aliceson (Billy) Hurt, Jonathan (Niki) Locknane, Janie Dailey, Jason, Andy and Melissa Cummins, greatgrandchildren, Emilee Hurt, Brooke Locknane, Jacklynn Dailey, five step greatgrandchildren of Indiana. Mrs. Dailey was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Elmer; their son Elmer Glenmore Dailey II, her sister, Dixie Covert and a brother Rod Eldridge. Services will be 10:30am Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Nate Bevier. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3-5pm Sunday. Bearers will be Jonathan Locknane, Jason Cummins, Billy Hurt, Glenmore and Artie Dailey, Roger Covert, Bryant and Josh Keller. Honorary bearers will be -The Thursday Group-, Vera Travis, Aggie Coyle, Libby Kelly, Arlene Noe, Rae Cundiff, Gussie Cole, Charlie Coyle and Edwenia Keller.
