Alfred Gene Taylor

Alfred Gene Taylor, 79, husband of Joan Ward Taylor, died on Thursday, April 13, 2017. He was born on August 17, 1937 in West Plains, Missouri. He spent his career as an Electrical Engineer. He was a member of Nicholasville Church of Christ. Alfred was a fan of UK Basketball, and was an avid golfer. A member of Lone Oak Golf Course, he prided himself by never riding in golf carts- he always carried his clubs on the golf course. He loved his family and very much enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Additional survivors are a son Mark Taylor, daughters, Stephanie Taylor Derickson and Laura Genelle Coleman, grandchildren, Brittni Dominique Middlebrook, Shai Nicole Derickson, Jennifer Marie Taylor, Gavin Wezley Coleman, Saydie Lucille Coleman and Colette Ashton Coleman and one great grandson, Ryder Allen Taylor. Services will be held at Nicholasville Church of Christ on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service Wednesday.
