Alexander Campbell A.C. Miles

Alexander Campbell 'A.C.' Miles, age 96, husband of Frances Gibbons Miles, passed away Saturday at his residence. He was born on January 2, 1919 in Jessamine County to the late G.N. and Rosa Miller Miles. He was lifelong member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church where he served on various committees, and as a trustee, treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, lifetime deacon and Choir member. A.C. is also survived by two daughters, Jane Miles (Billy) Teater and Marysusan Miles (Dale) Houk, three grandchildren Tonya (Shawn) Claggett, Angie Teater-Lafferty and Miles Christopher Houk, four great grandchildren, William, Andrea and Allie Claggett and Owen Lafferty, Nephews William Neal Cassidy, Sammy Miles Cassidy, Lester Clay Cassidy and one niece Rosemary Waters. He is also preceded in death by one son Nathaniel Thomas Miles, two sisters Mary Jane Cassidy and Susan Welch Waters. Funeral service will be conducted at 1PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Casket Bearers will be Neal, Sammy, Lester and Mark Cassidy, Billy Teater and Dale Houk. Honorary Casket Bearers will be the Leo Wild Sunday School Class of 2012 and close friends Ben Dye and John Knox. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.
