Alan Wilson Corman

December 14, 1945 — April 14, 2010

Alan Wilson Corman, 64, husband of Nancy D. Gaunce Corman, of Leatherwood Lane, died unexpectedly April 14, 2010 in Cedar Bluff, AL, while enjoying a trip with his wife. He was the son of the late Woodrow and Juanita Webster Corman. He was a charter member of Edgewood Baptist Church where he was a member of the Jim Smith Sunday School Class as well as a Sunday School teacher. He was a retired employee of IBM after 27 years and was a recent employee of Trim Masters for 17 years. Alan was an avid fisherman and hunter who also liked bowling, golfing, anything outdoors and tinkering on things. Additional survivors include two children, Kimberly (George W.) Denton and Tracy Corman Howard, four grandchildren, Zachary Howard, Makayla and Chad Denton and Makenzie Howard, all of Nicholasville, three sisters, Billie Sue Brinegar and Betty Lou (Autry) Bradshaw, both of Lexington and Linda Gayle (Richard) Adams of Lancaster, several nieces, nephews and other family members. Services will be 1:00 pm Monday at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Scholar and Rev. Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Betts & West Funeral Home and Monday from 11:00 am until time of service at the church. Bearers will be Roger Wilson, Billy Ray, Danny and Ryan Patrick, Mark Kash, Walter Bradshaw and Jeff Odean. Honorary Bearers will be Jimmy Patrick, Johnny Bruner, Autry, Greg and Jeff Bradshaw, James Alan Hurt, Tina Adams, Billy Sue Brinegar, Betty Lou Bradshaw, Linda Gayle Adams and the Jim Smith Sunday School Class.
